Donal attained his Bachelor of Civil Law degree from University College Dublin.
Following third level education, Donal trained and worked as an associate in one of Ireland’s largest law firms. He qualified into their Healthcare Department, where he advised healthcare professionals and their indemnifiers in the defence of medical negligence, malpractice, misconduct and defamation matters. Donal subsequently joined a start-up company as Content and Legal Officer, where he was responsible for internal legal matters to include issues of consent and data processing in relation to health data.
In 2015, Donal joined a busy Dublin firm where he managed the litigation practice, largely consisting of Plaintiff personal injury, professional negligence and medical negligence matters. Donal has worked on behalf of injured patients in cases involving birth injury, cranial surgery, anaesthesia, cancer treatment, and psychiatric injury.
Throughout his professional education Donal has focused on litigation and medical negligence courses, at undergraduate level, during his Professional Practice courses with the Law Society of Ireland, and in his continuing professional development.
